WELLINGTON, January 20. Mr A. Michie, manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Dunedin, arrived in Wellington yesterday, and will act as general manager of the bank in place of Mr A. Macintosh, who has been, granted leave of absence until March next. Mr Thomas, inspector for the South" Island, will act for Mr Michie in Dunedin while 'Hhat gentleman i 3 stationed at head-quarters The period of Mr Macintosh's engagement with the bank will expire in June next, and the Post states that he has asked fche directors to relieve him of office at the end of the financial year. - Mr Macintosh will shortly, return to Australia.
