CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.
SEQUEL TO AN ACCIDENT.

INVERCARGILL, Dec. 15. The coroner's inquest touching the death of Mrs Margaret Winsloe, who was fatally injured by the shaft of a light cart which came into collision with a motor car in which she was riding in Gore, was concluded to-day, the jury finding that deceased met her death by being struck by the shaft of a trap driven by John Whittingham, and that Whittingham did not exercise sufficient care in the management of his horse. No blame was attached to the driver of the motor car. Whittingham. will be charged to-morrow with manslaughter. Mr Winsloe admitted that the collision might have been avoided if the driver of the motor ha« kept nearer the kerb.
