BLIND INSTITUTE ABLAZE. [PKESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, September 8. An outbreak of fire took pla-ce in the workshop of the Jubilee Institute foj the Blind to-night. The damage done wa6 not wsrious. There was some anxiety about town at first, owing to the fact that, the "whole of the buildings are of wood. The workshop, however, is about 100 yards from the main building, where tlie blind people reside, and there was no panic. EveTy precaution was taken to prevent the fire spreading, and the appliances at the institution for coping with fire had practically suppressed the riami'o before the brigade arrived.
