Stars and Tnylewood contested their fixture at New Plymouth on Thursday, the final result being Stars 26, Inglewood 4. Stars romped over their opponents in every way. and Abbott, the Star scoring niii/ii, had quite a day out- at try-getting. Stratford, contrary 'to expectations, beat Tukapa by 17 to 6. The match was played at Stratford. The winners' total com-j prised three tries, one converted and two penalty goals. Hardgreavcs kicked twoj penalties for Tukapa. Forward play predominated.
