GIBSON'S A ASH WAREHOUSE, PATEA AND HAWERA. THE STORe"fOR QUALITY. SATURDAY HALF-HOLIDAY.— Clients are requested to note that the Hawera Store will be closed on Saturdays from one o'clock from Ist March for the Weekly Half-holiday. During the last 11 years I have closed the Patea Store on Saturday, and wish to bring both branches into unison. Wednesday is no holiday, and I therefore intend to give my assistants Saturday afternoons, so that they can enjoy the full benefit of the holiday. Clients will oblige by shopping before 1 o'clock on Saturdays, or posting their orders so that goods may be left at their stables. WHOLESALE WAREHOUSE, PATEA. Bulk Lines supplied at WHOLESALE RATES from this store. Galvanised Iron, Johnson's Plain and Barbed Fencing Wire, English Wire Netting, Staples, Nails, Cement, Piping, Kerosene, Soap, Soda, Sugar. The Store is run at a minimum of expense, being fitted with powerful , cranes, etc., and being alongside of wharf and station goods can be landed on truck as low as possible. Clients building or fencing will save money by buying through this store. PICKLING SEASON.— The secret of good Pickles, Sauces, etc., is GOOD VINEGAR. I pride myself on my Vinegars, and stock only the very Finest MALT Vinegar, brewed in London. There is a large amount of vinegar sold in New Zealand that should be "prohibited" if any liquor should be. It is cheap no doubt, but dear at any price. The majority is made from acetic acid, ruinous to teeth and constitution. Beware of it. Buy only Pure Malt Vinegar from Gibson's. Just landed, 10 casks bulk and 16 cases Crosse and Blackwell's Bottled Vinegars. HOT WEATHER brings flies. Catch them with Tanglefoot Flypapers. No getting away from them. SUMMER DRlNKS— Puriri Water, Montserrat Limejuice and Cordial, English Limejuice, Raspberry Vinegar, Lemon Squash, Golden Ale, 4/ dozen; Cider, Golden Apple brand. SCHILTZ LAGER BEER.— "The beer that made Milwaukee famous." The finest beer in the world. Pure malt and hop beer. Ex Rimutaka @ London. 8. cases STATIONERY.— Writing Paper, Envelopes, Writing Pads, Boxes of Stationery, Ink, Gum, etc., Day Books, Letter Books, etc. Stationery is a growing department, and clients will save money by buying from Gibson. Only finest quality liquors stocked, Ales, Wines, Spirits, etc. Have you ever tried GIBSON'S "FINEST OLDE WHISKIE"? The spirit of wind and sunshine and golden grain of Bonnie Scotland pervades it. Mellowed by years and its strength reduced only by age; still as it trickles over the palate it conveys to the brain the soul of the yellow-bearded barley and the wind that shakes it and the golden sunshine that ripples o'er it. Old folks, old friends, old times, and old Whiskie. Price, 30/ and 35/ per gallon. Large stocks of Thorn and Cameron's bulk and case Whiskies. MacGregor's Inverawe 4-star Whisky is the finest case Whisky that leaves Scotland. It is like cream trickling down. Price, 60/ per case. (This Whisky is sold in Dunedin at 10/ per bottle.) COFFEE. Lovers of a good Pure Coffee, can get it at Gibson's. Roasted and ground every day. I import the finest berries from Mocha and Ceylon. Chicory mixed if desired. Beware of Tinned Coffee; it is mostly chicory. TEA. TEA. Gibson's Teas are far-famed for Pure Honest Tea, full strength and fine flavor. The latest is from a Wellington cutomer; her tea account last year while using Gibson's Tea was £2; for 1903 while using Wellington tea it was £i. Proves that just half the amount of Gibson's Tea is required. RASPBERRY PULP.— 7Ib. tins, add 71b. sugar and boil 10 minutes; result, 141b. beautiful Raspberry Jam. No trouble and cheap. BOOTS AND SHOES. Having no old stock to quit at immense reductions to the unwise, I have devoted my time to getting my Autumn and Winter Goods to hand.
