The Kaponga Athletic Club have arranged their programme for the coming sports. The committee have decided to do away with the chopping contests and have substituted a few Highland dancing events. The prize-money is running fairly high. A big meeting is expected next Monday njght to discuss the water and drainage scheme. There are a number of sections just thrown open for building sites and by the way they are being disposed of speaks well for the town. Among the Xmas cleaning I notice the Egmont Drapery Company is just undergoing a fresh coat of paint at tho hands of Mr Franklyn and staff, of Manaia.
