CHRISTMAS TRAIN AR- \ RANGEMENTS. , FROM 22nd December to 4th January (Sundays excepted) the Ordinary Mail trains between Wellington and New Plymouth will NOT carry passengers from Palmer- j ston, Hawera, and intermediate ' stations (including Wanganui line), . except for North of Hawera by the UP Mail train and for the Wellington and Manawatu Co.'s line by the DOWN Mail train. These pas- j sengers must travel by the Extra j Mail trains, which will run daily \ (except Sundays) between Palmerston and Hawera, making same stoppages as Ordinary Mail trains, as follows : — Palmerston dep. 12.13 p.m., Wanganui 2.50 p.m., Hawera arr. 5.55 p.m. Hawera dep. 10.0 a.m., Wanganui 12.35 P«m., Palmerston arr. 3.58 p.m. These trains will run to and from Wellington on 23rd, 24th, 26th, 27th, and 31st December, and on 2nd and 3rd January, leaving Wellington (W. & M. Co.) 8 a.m., arriving Palmerston 12.3 p.m., and leaving Palmerston 4.15 p.m , arriving Wellington 8.10 p.m-, stopping on down journey at Shannon, Levin, Otaki, Waikanae, Paikakariki, Plimmerton, Porirua, and JohnsonI ville. On these days the Ordinary • Down Mail train will stop on Company's line only at Otaki, Paikakariki, Johnsonville, and Khandallah. Refreshment car will be run between Wanganui and Wellington. From 22nd December to 4th January the usual 6.40 a.m. train j will not leave Wanganui till 7.0 i a.m., arriving Hawera 10.57 a * m * ON 24th December (CHRISTMAS EVE) trains will leave Hawera at 10.5 p.m., arriving New Plymouth 1.35 a.m. Leave New Plymouth 10.30 p.m., arriving Hawera SUNDAY TRAINS.— On 25th December and Ist January, Special trains with refreshment car attached wil> run between New Plymouth, Wanganui, and Wellington (W. & M.
