ACCIDENT AT WANGANUI.
WANQANUI, December 16. A man named Smith, while engaged loading a cart with coal from the steamer Charles Edward this morning, was struck by a ooal basket and knocked off the cart on to the wharf. Before he could recover he fell on the deck of the vessel, striking the bulwarks.- He was injured internally, and was taken to the hospital.
