CALEDONIAN SOCIETY. , At a meeting of directors held last night in the Oddfe«»ws' Hall, a letter from the SoJetary ol the Pipe Band was read and dtafcussed. The pipers aro "king for ST expenses in addition to the £B 5s V ofered by the society for their services * t the fathering ; t was decided that the S rotors of the society cannot see their lav to make any advance on the offer Iffiadv mado, but will be very pleased to hive the P?pe Band if they are prepared ia acent the original otter. . Several nem members were nominated, * n ShJw C buis, advertising the gathering, are now ready.
DRAINAGE BOARD. A committee meeting took place yesterday when a rough draft of by-laws was meW and hanSed to, the board's solicitor, to be moulded into proper shape.
