Wool.— Fifty thousand bales have been sold for home consumption, 30,000 for the Continent, 400 for America, and 2600 are* held over. Compared with the closing sales of the July series all good and medium combing advanced 6 per cent., and good greasies slightly more, while faaltiea and short scoured, in heavy supply, declined about 6 per cent. Ordinary shabby crossbreds were unchanged, medium advanced 6 per cent., fine 6 to 74 per cent., and course (suitable for America) 6 to 10 per cent. Best merino lambs made very full rates, faulties and shorts declined 5 per cent., and crossbreds remained unchanged. The sales included "Severn" 12id, "Searlo" 16Jd, "Glenquoich" 10|d. Prices ranged as follows : — Draughts, broken, £32 to £50; do. unbroken, £22 £10s to £49 16s; harness horses, £13 5s to £29 ; hacks, £4 10s to £21 ; unbroken hacks and harness horses £3 10s to £18 15s.
