A large number of residents assembled at the English Church on Wednesday morning to witness a very pleasing and quiet ceremony, when Beatrix, eldest daughter pf Mjr William Allen, of Normanby, was married to Mr Joseph Irwin, boo pf Mr Irwin, of Wanganui. The Rev. J, A- Jacob, officiated. The bri.de, who was dressed in a blue ejoth travelling dress, and wore a white hat trimmed with chiffon and forgot-mo-nots, looked exceedingly nice, and was attended by her srttef, Miss Freda Allen as bridesmaid, who was dressed in a blue spotted graßS Jawn, and hat of whito chiffon, .trimmqd with blue silk.
