In his opening address to the Anglican Synod, the Primate, .commenting on tne Birth-rate Commission's report, said it was an appalling exposure of a culpably selfish and superficial view of the object of marriage. Canon Boyce moved* the omission of the damnatory clause of. the Athanasian creed.
An amendment' was adopted affirming the acceptance of the credenda, but declaring that the rubric requiring its public recitation should be omitted. i •
