MAJOR LORRAINE ASSAULTED BY CHINESE.
(Received September 23, 10.48 p.m.) TEKIX. September 23. Chinese soldiers in the Tarter city assaulted Major Lorraine, commanding the French Legation Guard, and his orderly. China, besides promising to severely punish the aggressors, apologised to M. Duban, French Minister, and Major Lorraine.
