Mr G. Potts, builder, of Eltham. was the successful tenderer for tbe Eltham Bacon Co.'s new -factory. There were nine other tenders, including three from Nevr Plymouth and £h*ee from Hawera. An inquiry into the cause of the iate fire is to commence before Mr W. H. McGarty, J.P. ; this afternoon at 2.30 o'clock.
