METHODIST CHURCH.

Mr E. Dixon was elected representative to attend a conference to be held in Auckland early in Maich, and Mr L. S. Bariaclough substitute representative. Cocker, sen It was decided that the Society Stewards for Patea and Hawera should oe elected at the leaders' meeting/ Resolved, That Normanb/ Christian Endeavour .Society bo thanked for the practical help given to the home mission fund and for the work done to imprc-e church property at Normanby. It w&o decided that the harvest thanksgiving services be held during the quarter at all places where practicable. The Chairman's action in inviting thi next District Synod to be held at Haweia in November was endorsed. Resolved, That the next quarterly meeting be held on Good Friday afternoon, to be followed by a public tea and convention, details of arrangements to be left) in the hands of a. small committee. > r Resolved, That application be made to the trustees of Matapu Church' for permission to hold an occasional evening service.
