LOUIS FLOODED. 80 MEN DROWNED. 10,000 RENDERED HOMELESS. Received 11, 11.7 p.m. NEW YORK, Jane 11, A torrent 25 feet deep and 100 feet wide burst through the Illinois Central Railway embmkment, flooding the, southern half of eastern St. Louis, where, 100 labcureis .wera engaged in strengthening the embankment. The men fled, but 30 were ..drowned. The damage by the floods at St. Louis is estimated at £800,000, and 10,000 persons have been rendered homeless.
