The resignation of the Rev. Dr Elmshe from the pastorate of St. Paul's, Christ' church, to take effect from the appointment of his successor, was received by the Presby'ery this" morning. The 1 Presbytery' recognised ■ that during the, 27 years he had been in charge of B*. Paul's h« had been eminently successful in. advnncing the interests of Chris' ianity. They*., prayrd that he might be spared to enjry a well-earned rest in affection and regard.
