EMPLOYERS' ASSOCIATION.
(per press association.)
WELLINGTON, jyoe 10. The annual report of the Employers' Association states that the Association is in a stronger position, and the outlook is more hopeful than ever before. Dealing with preference to - Unionists, tbe report says : •• We regard the present discretionary power of the Arbitration Court to award preference to Unionists as entirely indefinable on the ground of abf.fract justice, but the proposal '\o compel employers tp efppjoy upioniejjs alone in all cases we must repiati by every ponsiitutional means. In this we believe organised employers throughout New Zealmd will move as one man, and there is good reason to expect we ehali be supported by other employers and by the general oommunity. not expludiog many -workers themselves. The repojrt added that the co-operation by the Farmers' Union and others was bpipg sought. Mr W, Cable, wonfounder, was elected president.
