One field of 200 acres of oats, esthnatncl Jo yield 80 bushels to the acre, was. absolutely ruined, and. other fine crops' in the track' of the storm devastated. A beautiful orchard was absolutely stripped 6r fruit and the trees denuded, of brunches. One sheet in a galvanised iron roof was perforated in fifty plaoes. .The hailstones were , very large, several averngifg four inches in circumference, and weighing thirteen;- to the pound. A rough * estimate of damage to 'grain crops places it. at iJSOOO A few of the turnip and rape 1 crop* were badly knocked about.
