COMPENSATION CLAIMS.
PER PRBSS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, December .16. Two heavy claims for compensation are being hpord for tho bock acquit ed by the Government to extend the post office. Sir W. Bulier claimed £10,000 for a small section and building at the corner of Qrey and Fentheraton streets, and was awnrdeil £6655, which, according to the calculation of one of th> witnesses, would be at the rate of neurly £200,000 an acre. L?vin and Co. clnim £'60 000 for lnnd and bu'ldings, and by pgreement £3800 wa9 fixed for the least hold poniou. WELLINGTON, December 16. In the Compensation case, Lwin Es«te v. the Government, a claim for £26,400, compensation for lmd and buildings taken for pcs', office ixtension, the Ccurt awatdtd £23,698.
