THE CZAR AND MIS UNCLE.

The St. Petersburg correspondent of the Daily Mail says the cashiering of Grand Duke Paul Alexandrovitch, uncle of the Czar, is the sensation of the day. Three years ago the Grand Duke began to pay attention to Baroness Pistolkoff, wife of the adjutant of the staff of Grand Duke Vladimir. The affair became notorious at a court ball last winter, when Baroness Pistolkoff appeared, wearing the jewels of Grajid Duke Paul's dead wife, Pz'incess Alexandra of Greece. The Czar observed the jewels, and ordei'ed the baroness to leave the ball instantly. After obtaining a divorce the Baroness induced Grand Duke Paul to promise to marry her, despite the Czar's warnings. Several Russian clergymen declined to marry the two, but they finally succeeded in having the ceremony performed at Leghorn, October 10th. The Czar's answer to Grand Duke Paul's defiance speedily followed in his being cashiered. It is said the Grand Duke also has been banished from the Russian court for ten years. Grand Duke Paul loses all emoluments, and must now live on a small private income. The two are now in Paris. The Baroness is not pretty, but she is witty.
