Beef : Unchanged. River Plate : Unchanged. WELLINGTON, December 15.The Agent-General's cablegram, dated London 13th, states:— Stocks of mutton are light and firmly held in few hands. Very little business is doing, and prices are nominal. The market is very uncertain. Canterbury 5J d, other North Island mutton 5d Rwer Plate 4£d. There is a better demand for lamb. Canterbury brand sfd. Beef dull. Stocks of new Zealand on hand light. Hinds sd, fores 4d. Butter steady at 114s per cwt. Cheese very firm at 59s per cwt. Hemp steady. .Good fail- Wellington, spot £32; January-March s-hipmenfcs, £28 '
