LABOUR FOR HARVESTING.

WELLINGTON, December 13. The Oamaru branch of the Farmers' Union has passed a resolution to request the Government to discontinue co-operative and unemployed works from now till the end of April, to enable farmers to get men for turnip thinning and harvest, It was also resolved to ask other branches through out the colony to co-operate, and 4 deputation was appointed to wait ol ihe Hon. T. Y. Duncan in tho mattoir.
