WHEREAS at a Special Meeting of the Council, held on Saturday, 19th April, 1902, a resolution to the following effect was adopted : — In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Counties Act, 1866," the Hawera County Council hereby reeolves as follows : — That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the Hawera County Council under the provisions of " The Looal Bodies Loans Act, 1901," for the purpose of constructing the Wingrove Koad from the Stratford County boundary to the Southward as far a funds will permit, the said Hawera County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of lsd in the £ upon the rateable valuation of Seotions 22, 19, and the Northern half of Section 18, Block 12, Ngaire, and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the ourrenoy of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 15 th day of October in each and every year. And whereas at a Speoial Meeting of tbe Council, held on Saturday, sth day of July, 1902, the following resolution was adopted : — That a Special Annual Recurring Rate of one farthing in the £ be made over the following properties, viz : Sections 41, 42, 14, Blook XL, Ngaire, Subdivision 14 of JPukengahu Block (129 acres) and the Western half of Section 12, Block 12, Ngaire, for the payment of interest and other charges on an additional advance of 10 pt>r cent in reaoect of the loan of L6OO for metalling the Hu Road from the Rawhitiroa Road Northwards as far as funds will permit, which loan was carried at a poll taken on 12th Novembers 1900; and that the said Speoial Rate shall be payable, if required, yearly on the 15th day of October in each year. Notice is hereby given that the said resolutions will be confirmed at a meeting of the Council to be held on Saturday, 20th September, 1902, at 11 a.m., and thereupon the speoial order ehall take effect.
