Lars Kjar was warming dynamite at a furnace at trie Maurice ville lime works, when it exploded, badly bruising him, j and blowing the roof off the building and holes through the walls. He was taken to the hospital. Wbstport, August 19. When alighting from a train, Mrs Jas. Carruthers fell, and sustained injuries, necessitating her removal to the^ hospital.
Dunbdin, August 19. The body of Richard Davey has been found in the bay near the powder magazine. ' Last month be murderously attacked his wife and daughter, and then suicided.
