London, August 18. The return match between tbe Australians and Gloucestershire commenced at Cheltenham to-day. The Home team consists of Jessop, Champain, Sewell, Bice, Troup, Brownlee, Board, Spry, Woof, Langdon, and Wrathall.
Tbe Australians omitted Trumble, Kelly, and Saunders.
Bain delayed the start. The weather is dull, and the wicket soft.
Darliog won the tos3. and sent in Duff and Trumper. When he bad made a couple Duff retired, caught by Woof off his own bowling. One for 6.
Hill followed, but, with the score at 21, rain again set in, preventing further play for tbe day. Duff, c and b Woof 8 Trumper, not out 14 Hill, not out 2
