ACCUSED FOUND GUILTY.
SENTENCE DEFEREED.

Wellington, August 18.
The heariDg of the charge of manslaughter against Harriet Drake was concluded this evening, when the jury returned a verdict of guilty. His Honor Mr Justice Edwards intimated Jhat on Thursday he would hear the argument of counsel on the point raised with regard to the admissibility of certain evidence concerning the treatment of deceased by prisoner prior to 26th June. Sentence was deferred.
