EGMONT GUN CLUB.
The Egmont Gun Club's Easter meeting was very successful, although the weather left something to be desired. The competition was keen. The officials 'worked hard to make things run smoothly, and succeeded. Mr T Twigg's handicaps gave satisfaction, as the close shooting would indicate. Mr CA. Budge was a careful referee. The presence of several young competitors added interest to the gathering. Results : —
Inanimate Pigeon Match, 9 birds : W. B. Twigg, scratch, 30 points, 9 kills, 1; J. Quin, scratch, 22 points, 6 kill, 2. Open Live 'Pigqpn .Match, 7 birds: W. BY Twigg, 24 yards, '7 kills, James Minhinniok, 25 yards, 7 kills, J. A. Casey. 26 yards, 7 kills, divided Ist and 2nd prizes ; A. J. Ogden, 25 yards, 6 kills ; J. Quin, 24 yards, 5 kills ; B. Douglas, 26 yards, 1 kill (retired). Inanimate Pigeon Sweepstake, 9 birds : J. Quin, scratoh, 30 points, 8 kills, Greaves, handicap, 4 points, 30 points, 7 kills, tie. In the shoot off, J. Quin made 28, and Greaves made 26 ; Quin won. Open Live Pigeon Sweepstake, 7 birds : J. Quin, 26yds, 7 kills, 1 ; W. R. Twigg, 30yds, 6 kills, J. Minhinnick, 30yds, 6 kills, divided second prize ; J. A. Casey, 30yds, 5 kills; Greaves, 25yds, 5 kills ; D. Baird, 25yds, 5 kills ; A. G. Ogden, 28yds, 4 kills; B. Douglas, 27yds, 2 kills, retired. Open Live Pigeon Sweepstake, 5 birds : D. Bird, 25yds, 5 kills, 1 ; Bell, 28yds, 4 kills, 2.
