An interesting wedding was celebrated in the Presbyterian Church on Easter Monday, the Rev. Ivo E. Bertram officiating. The principals were Mr William Janaon, eldest son of the late Mr G. E. Janßon, of Wellington, and Miss N. Louisa, only daughter of Mr 0. 0. Ekdahl, Disraeli street. Mrs R. W. Sargent acted as chaperone. The bride entered the ohurch with her father, and was beautifully attired in a pearl cream inert silk, the bodice with transparent yoke and elbow sleeves, and wore a nicely-worked veil and wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a fan, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids wore Miss Hilma Janson, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Ella Sargent. Both wore pretty white hailspot muslins with transparent yokos, and carried shower bouquets. The former wore a lovely white chiffon toque, and the latter a veil and wreath of forget-me-nots. Mr J. G. Ekdahl acted aB best man, and Mr F. Janson as groomsman. The bridegroom's gifts to the bride were a massive gold curb bangle and an opal brooch, to the chief bridesmaid a diamond ring, and to Miss Ella an opal brooch. The ohuroh, whioh was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride, was crowded with guests and others. After the ceremony, breakfast was partaken of in the Oddfellows' Hall. The gifts to the bride were numerous and valuable, among them a handsome silver oream and sugar basin from the members of the Presbyterian choir, of which body Miss Ekdahl had been an active member. Mr and Mrs Janson left by the afternoon train for Wanpanui, en route for their home in Wellington. A very interesting gathering in connection with the Salvation Army Harvest Thanksgiving took place last evening. A good musical programme was given by Mr and Mrs Hutchens and family, assisted by Captains Jeffries and Doran, also Lt. Callaghan. All the items were well rendered, and fully appreciated by the number present. A similar gathering will take place this evening, aAt the Fire Brigadeß' Demonstration at Dannevirke, Hawera Fire Brigade was first in hose and ladder event, and second in the coupling event and the three men event, Holloway's Pills. The Hour of Danger Disease commonly comes on with slight symptoms, whioh, when negleoted, inorease in extent, and gradually grow dangerous — a condition which betrays the grossest remisßness — when these Pills, taken in accordance with their accompanying directions, would not only have checked, but conquered the inoipient disorder. Patients daily forward details of the most remarkable and instructive cases in which timely attention to Holloway's advice has undoubtedly saved them from severe illneßß. These Pills act primarily on the digestive organs, which they stimulate when slow and imperfect; and, secondly, upon the blood, which is thoroughly purified by them, whence is derived the general tone they impart, but their power of subjugating hypochondriacism, dyspepsia, and nerve complaints. BOWEL COMPLAINT IN CHILDREN /During the summer months children are subject to disorder of the bowels, and should reoeive the most careful attention.
