ae (per press association.) ta Wanganui, February 27. At the Supreme Court yesterday, Joseph Howard was acquitted on a charge of horse stealing. Valeric Jeffrey was admitted to probation on a charge of stealing a ring. Fritz Spielman was remanded for sentence for horse stealing , a Richard Collis, a lad, was acquitted on m, a charge of breaking and entering, m- George Thurston, for theft, received a he sentence of 18 months, to be cumulative on his sentence of 12 months' for prison breaking; also 12 months for stealing ite £9 10s. be Wanganui, February 27. * In the Supreme Court to-day, Henry O'Hara, for forgery of a telegram, was sentenced to twelve months' hard labour. Georgo Edward Prebbles, alias Edward oc " Whitehead, for horse stealing, was found guilty, and remanded for sentence.
