Received February 25, 9.56 a,m. Albany, February 25. Sailed : Cornwall and Surrey. TROUBLE IN THE NINTH CONTINGENT. Donedin, February 24. There was some unpleasantness at the Ninth Contingent camp yesterday, when some members of the returned contingents were brought before the officers in command for signing a memorial to the Right. Hon. Mr Seddon, as Defence Minister, setting out that in the opinion of the memorialists more commissions in theHintb Contingent should bo given to members of returned contingents qualified to act as officers. This breach of discipline was at once inquired into, but will have to be gone into more fully at a later stage.
