SMALL-POX ON THE WAKANUI AT WELLINGTON.

(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, February 23. The Wakanui, from London, via the Cape and Hobart, anchored in the stream this morning. Owing to a case of small-pox having occurred on the vessel prior to her arrival at Hobart, special precautions are being taken by the Health Department. Wellington, February 24. The Wakanui came alongside the wharf last evening. Two of the firemen refused to be vaccinated, and wore sent to Somes' Island for sixteen days' quarantine.
