VOLUNTEER NEWS.

Captain L. M. Taunton, Taranaki Guards, has been appointed adjutant of the Fourth (Taranaki) Battalion, Weilington Rifle Volunteers.

Captain J. P. Watt, of No. 1 Battalion, Wellington (West Coast) Mounted Rifles, is gazetted adjutant, with the rank of captain. Lieutenant E. R. Morgan, Alexandra Mounted Rifles, has been appointed paymaster and quartermaster to the battalion. The Rev. R. Hermon is gazetted honorary chaplain;

S. B. Hunter, of the Kiokapoo Co., wishes to give notice that, beginning with February 26th, he will visit Bltham every Wednesday instead of Friday, and, beginning with February 28th, will visit Kaponga every Friday instead of Wednesday.
