CRICKET.
Received February 22, 10.20 a.m. Adelaide, February 22. Hill flatly contradicts the statement that McKenzie was led to believe be would be selected as seoond wicketkeeper for the Australian team for England. He had never been communicated with in reference to the post, and he was satisfied Carter was the makings of a wicket-keeper the like of whom had never before been seen in Australia. Noble and Trumble had the same opinion. The English players consider him one of the smartest men with the gloves they have ever seen.
