CHARGES AGAINST GAOL OFFICIALS.
# (PBR PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, February 20. The Justice Department has replied to Mr Jellicoe's request for a general enquiry into the administration of the Wellington prisons to the effect that when the present Halswell Enquiry Commission sends in a report the Minister will be in a better position to decide whether a general enquiry is necessary or advisable.
