NOLAN, TONKS, AND CO.'S RAM FAIR.
On Saturday, the above firm held their annnal ram fair, when dose on 750 rams were catalogued. The quality of the rams was, if anything, better than in previous yeais. Bidding forLinoolns was very slaok, as the undermentioned prioes will show. Both for English and Border Leicesters there was good enquiry, although prices did not come up to expectation. The following are the quotations : —
Leicesters : Bred by W. Grant, brought from 4 Jgs to ssgs ; bred by W. Boag, 4gs to 4£gs ; bred by B. E. Moßae, from 3gs to SIRS. Shropshires: Bred by T. C. Williams, from 3gs to 4ge.
Bomneys : Bred by Best Bros., 3gs. Lincolns from the flocks of following breeders realised as under: M. H. Wybourne, |g ; P. Bourke, Ito Hgs ; Wybourne Bros., lg : A. Bremer, lg ; M. J. Goodson, lg ; J. and W. Bobertson. lg to ] Jgs ; J. J. Campbell, lg ; Miss Watt, lg ; J. M. Wilkie, 1r ; B. W. Foreman, lg ; G. T. Bremer, lg ; B. B. Hamilton, lg.
