DEATH IN THE CELLS.

Pahiatda, February 17. A bookbinder, named Fred Akers, died suddenly in the police cells on Saturday motning. At the inquest, the jury returned a verdict of death, accelerated by excessive drinking.
As showing that it is not a case of all "blanks and no prizes in guessing, Miss ' Morris, of Eltham road, writes to say she won as a prize a silver watch given by the Goldsmiths' Colonial Company, Auokland, and is very pleased with it. Borough Counoil invites tenders for leases.
