SHOOTING.
The ■Wednesday section of the Hawera Rifles fired the first competition for the Kelly Cup last Wednesday. The ranges are 800, 500 and 600 yds. Seven shots at each and two sighters. Private Blair put on the possible at 500yd8. The following are the scores :
In the Napier Supreme Court Barry Edward Dennett was sentenced to one year for assault and robbery.
