Dunbdin, February 11. At the Council of Churches meeting, the Rev. J. J. Lewis, Chairman, expressed what he believed to be the overwhelming feeling of tbe Counoil that righteousness was on Britain's side in the war, and that it was their duty to defend their soldiers' honour. The Council propose to urge. at the next general election the following reforms ; Bible in schools, abolition of totalisatore, and advance of the temperance cause.
