SELLERS' WASHING MACHINE.

This is certainly an age of inventions, and tbe washing of clothes is as certainly a necessity. Many have tried to invent machines to minimise labour in clotheswashing, and none have had such a measure of success as the Sellers' Washing Machine, which has certainly come to stay, and which, judging by demand, is looked upon by the women as a necessity. About six weeks ago Messrs Dizon and Bates sold one to a person who occupied an hotel, and who, since buying the machine, has purchased another house. Among the effects with the new purchase was a Sellers' Washer, so the purchaser called to see if the firm would take one machine back. He was advised to sell it by auction with the rest of his goods if he did not wish to keep two, and it was added that when sold in the way suggested the machines fetched a high price. The client at once said, "But the sale is on Saturday, and we have a large wash on Wednesday, and could not do without the Sellers' Washer." So Dixon and Bates offered to lend one for that washing day, knowing that the Washer was such a necessity after a few weeks' use. The firm call attention to a few of many testimonials they have which are most convincing ; still, if any, after perusing these, are still in doubt, Dixon and Bates have such faith in this washer that they are prepared, if needful, to give a fortnight's trial in any possible purchaser's own home.
