HAWERAJBOROU GH COUNCIL " -PECIAL ORDER " for Raising a Loan of £2000 for the purposes of t)rainage Connections within the Borough of Hawera under " The Hawera Borough Drainage Empowering Act, 1900." WHEREAS at a Special Meeting of the Council held on Friday, the 17th day of January, 1902, a resolution to the following effect was adopted :— That the "Hawera Borough Council," in pursuance of the powers vested in them under 11 The Hawera Borough Drainage Empowering Aofc, 1900," do borrow the sum of Two Thousand Pounds (f2000) sterling by way of a " Special Loan " (to be hereafter known as " The Hawera Borough Drainage Connections Special Loan") for the purpose of providing for the carrying out of drainage works within the Borough under the powers in that behalf vested in the Counoil by the said Act. [ THAT suub Special Loan shall be raised by the sale by tender of 20 debentures for £100 each, repayable in ten. years at the Bank of New Zealand, Hawera, and bearing interest in the meantime at the rate of 5 per cent per annum, payable yearly at the Bank of New Zealand, Hawera, and that the debentures be effected by advertisement for tender on the 25th day of January, 1902, No tender under £100 per £100 debenture can be lawfully accepted. JfOTIOE IS HEKEBY GIVEN that the said resolution will be confirmed at a meeting of the Counoil to be held on Wednesday, the 19th day of February, 1902, at 7.30 p.m., at the Hawera Borough Council Chambers, Hawera, and thereupon the Special Order shall take effect.
