Mr Caniercn, inspector of New Zealand produce at Home, reports that business men in London who handle flax from the colony, consider that the compulsory grading of hemp will be of great advantage to them in carrying through Bales if proper classification is adopted and graders do the work thoroughly. At the time Cameron wrote the report, January 3, the tone of the market was healthy, and the prospects oonlidered good.
