VIENNESE PAPER URGES KRUGER TO PUT ON A SWORD.

Received February 5, 9.29 a.m. - London, February 4. Colonel Price oaptured Commandant Besters 1 laager at Plaarfontein. Three were killed (including Commandant Vangyl). A movement executed by' Colonels Byng and Garrett prevented De Wet's intended meeting on the 30th. The Boers are dispersing in the direotion of Reitz. A supply train was held up and partly burnt in the Cradock district. Lord Kitohener's weekly report ; — Twenty.nine killed. Six wonnded. One hundred and forty- two prisoners. Forty-eight surrendered. Auckland, February 4. There was a great rush of applicants, and tbe demand for places in the Ninth was quite aB great as for the Eighth. The physique of most of tbe volunteers was excellent.
