THE MYSTERIOUS CABE.
Further developments in the Latham ease show that Mrs Elliott confessed to her husband that she had been unduly intimate with Latham. She assisted her husband to lay a trap to blackmail Latham. Elliott admits that his wife's story is correct, but denies that he had any hand in Latham's death. The original assumption that Latham suicided is again being accepted.
