DEGREES OF COMMERCE.
Tbe London University is considering the conferment of degrees of commerce.
UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY IN IRELAND.
Three judges of the Irish King's Bench upheld tbe sentences on Mr O'Donnell, M.P., and others for un. lawful assembly at Rabella. Lord Chief Justice Bateson dissented, on tbe ground that the summonses contained charges outside tbe jurisdiction of the magistrates, but bis opinion was overruled.
INFLUENZA.
There are thousands of oases of influenza in Athens.
AN OLD CANNON.
The Kaiser has presented FieldMarshal yon Waldersee, who commanded the allied troops to China, with a oaptured cannon 250 years old, which had been used against the Locations at Peking.
