COMMISSION.
Victoria made a charge of three pec cent, on payments to returned soldiers or their wives. Queensland did the same. Mr Philp, Queensland Premier, states that at first no commission was charged, but they wore advised by the New South Wales authorities that they (the latter) were insisting on commission, and recommended Queensland to follow suit.
