QUEENSLAND SUGAR INDUSTRY.
Brisbane, January 28. The Premier has received an offer from a resident of Frankfort, Germany, to provide two thousand experienced laborers for the sugar industry if the State planters will pay their passages, wbich are estimated at eight pounds each. The Minister for Lands has returned from a visit to the sugar fields ami states that tbe Kanakas are giving way to Hindoo laborers.
HORSES FOR SOUTH AFRICA.
Received January 28, 1 p.m.
London, January 28. Several shipments of Australian horses reached South Africa in very poor condition. Argentine horses arrived in a much better state.
