The position of the various clubs in the tournament to date is as follows : —

Mount Eden, 46, defeated Petone, 17, Thowadon, 42, beat Auckland, 37. Palmerston beat Feilding, 50 to 29. - Wellington beat Newmarket, 45 to 87. Carterton beat Masterton. 42 to 85.
• In the champion tourney on Hawera green the following games were played on Friday : —
Tait beat B. Hicks by 17 to 16, the game not being deoided till last bowl had been delivered. Parkinson beat Button by 22^8. Sutton beat Scolon by 16 to 137
