THE BOSTON CONCERT COMPANY.

The final concert of the Hawera season was given by the Boston Concert Company in the Opera House last evening, when there was another interested audience. Bernard Walther again showed his skill with the king of instruments, and had to respond to several recalls. Oue of his best performances was " La Ronde dcs Lutius (or " The Elves' Dance "), for his masterly playing of which he had to respond to a vigorous encore, giving" The Last Rose of Summer." The latter item was played on a venerable violin — an instrument with a history — tbe property of Mr T. H. Hughes. Miss Lillian Walther enhanced the favourable impression she made at the opening concert, her powerful, tuneful voice being heard to greatest advantage, perhaps, in "An Old Love Dream." Her tasteful singing of " The Dear Little Shamrock " (given in answer to an enthusiastic recall) gave pleasure to the audience, while all her numbers were sung artistically. Mr Cyrus Brownlse Newton was again a favourite, his recitations being worth listening to, while his character sketches could not fail to make laughter. Miss Beatrice VarthVs pianoforte solos were good, the second being the best. The concert was a musical success.

TO-NIGHT, the company will give a concert at Kaponga, several lovers of music in that place having become guarantors.
