Victoria has got a strong lead in the inter-club matches, and on performances and form must have a big cay in the finals. The singles match Reich v. McLaren was one of the most exciting contests ever witnessed on a Wellington green. The players stuck together until the game stood fifteen all and ono head to play. Reich then put three balls iv front of the jack, making a complete cover, with the exception of one possible opening. McLaren decided to draw for the gap, and did so so accurately that his ball rested right on the jack. The enthusiasm of the onlookers was tremendous.
